Picking up a Brand New Lexus – For a Good Cause

On a beautiful Sarasota Afternoon, the winners of a 2015 Lexus CT 200h came to claim their gorgeous prize. Edmund and Patricia Morrissey picked the winning raffle ticket at the Van Wezel Foundations 14th Annual Gala at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall.

The Annual Gala was arranged as a fundraising opportunity for the Van Wezel Foundation, which provides opportunities for children to experience, and participate in the performing arts. Each charitable donation of $100 was rewarded with a raffle ticket towards a 2015 Lexus CT 200h. Now I was not present when the new owners picked up the keys, but I can image there was a bit of dancing, lots of smiling, and great vibes all around.

Wilde Lexus in Sarasota has long been a staunch supporter of the Van Wezel Foundation, as it is our practice to invest in our local communities as much as possible.

About the Van Wezel Foundation

Van Wezel Foundation operates independently of the city owned and operated Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. Established in 1987, the Foundation is a charitable non-profit 501(c) (3) organization that has directed millions of dollars in support of the Hall’s capital improvements, programs and ongoing educational efforts.

The Van Wezel Foundation has developed the School time Performance program in which the Fund-A-Child portion provides the opportunity to over 25,000 children to come to the Hall each year. The Lexus Chance Drawing was just one more way funds are raised to provide vital funding for the Foundation.
